MD Gulf Recruitment, in partnership with our network partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is sourcing experienced Mechanical Engineers for high-profile Oil & Gas refinery and petrochemical projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for the asset integrity of stationary equipment in Oil & Gas and petrochemical plants.
Support and evaluate all types of instrumentation, metering, and control systems.
Perform mechanical calculations for piping, pressure vessels, exchangers, heaters, and static equipment.
Conduct field troubleshooting, participate in major T&Is, and support maintenance teams with repair procedures.
Lead Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments and evaluate repair, alteration, and re-rating of pressure vessels and piping systems.
Perform hydrotest pressure, MAWP, wall thickness, and stress calculations in compliance with API, ASME, and Aramco standards.
Develop and approve mechanical design packages, specifications, and modifications.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and train junior engineers in mechanical design and asset integrity.
Participate in HAZOP studies, compliance reviews, and audits.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- 8–15 years in refinery, NGLF, or petrochemical industries with at least 5–10 years in asset integrity and field troubleshooting.
- Proven expertise in major turnarounds and stationary equipment.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, NACE, ASTM, ISO standards.
Certifications:
- ASME, API-510, API-570, API-653 preferred.
Skills:
- Advanced mechanical and calculation skills.
- Proficient with engineering software (e.g., CAESAR II).
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Fluent in English; well-presented and professional.
